The joy of SIX

Six queens, six tales, an eighth king, and 500 years of history celebrated in 80 rip-roaring minutes as SIX the Musical returns to Hull New Theatre next spring.

The Tudor Queens of Henry VIII will be returning to Hull New Theatre for a musical journey through divorce, beheading, death, more divorce and beheading, and a bit of survival.

SIX is the phenomenon everyone’s losing their head over, with the Queens – Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Catherine Howard, and Catherine Parr – all hitting the stage from 23 May until 28 May 2023.

From Tudor queens to pop princesses, SIX sees the wives of Henry VIII take to the mic to tell their own personal tales, remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into an 80-minute celebration of 21st century girl power.

The West End smash hit embarks on another royal procession across the UK after being nominated for five OIivier Awards. The cast are backed by the show’s all-female band, The Ladies in Waiting.

These Queens may have green sleeves, but their lipstick is rebellious red. Think of the rhyme, think again… Divorced. Beheaded. Live.
