MS3 Networks sponsors Lindsey Lodge Hospice’s Pennies Make Pounds campaign

Ultrafast full fibre network operator MS3 Networks and palliative care charity Lindsey Lodge Hospice will launch the Pennies Make Pounds fundraising initiative with a community event at The Pink Pig Farm, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire on Saturday 24 February. The year-long campaign will see supporters collect spare change in piggy banks to raise funds for North Lincolnshire patients with life-limiting illnesses.

University of Hull mounts photographic exhibition in the House of Commons

The University of Hull is delighted and honoured to have been invited to mount a photographic exhibition on the War in Ukraine, in the House of Commons. This exhibition is sponsored by Dame Diana Johnson, MP for Kingston upon Hull North, who describes it as, “a very powerful reminder of the human cost of this war”.  The exhibition will be shown in the Upper Waiting Hall of the House of Commons, from 17-22 February 2024.

Raising Aspirations: New mini documentary highlights Hull car project improving social mobility

Outkast Panda Crew, a Community Interest Company which evolved from a modified car club in Hull, has featured in a new mini documentary. The 11-minute film, funded by The Matthew Good Foundation and produced by INIT Creative, highlights the power held by grassroots organisations to improve inner-city communities, by raising aspirations beyond a life of crime and anti-social behaviour for disadvantaged youths.
