Outkast Panda Crew, a Community Interest Company which evolved from a modified car club in Hull, has featured in a new mini documentary. The 11-minute film, funded by The Matthew Good Foundation and produced by INIT Creative, highlights the power held by grassroots organisations to improve inner-city communities, by raising aspirations beyond a life of crime and anti-social behaviour for disadvantaged youths.

Chair of Hull Pride announces departure after five successful years

Pride in Hull, a leader in the advocacy of LGBT+ rights and inclusion, and renowned for its spectacular annual LGBT+ Pride event, will undergo a significant change in leadership. Jamie Lewis, the Chair of Trustees, is stepping down at the end of January, marking the end of an impactful five-year tenure. The charity is delighted to announce that Andy Train, a respected member of the board, will succeed Jamie as the new Chair.

Hull City Council funds social enterprise helping to boost community spaces

New data reveals COPD stigma in Yorkshire and Humber area

A new survey circulated amongst people living in the Yorkshire and the Humber area with a respiratory condition called chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) has revealed that more than one in three (35%) have felt hesitant to ask for more information about their condition because they were worried about being judged or discriminated against.
